Why I paint portraits
After studying with Tony Ryder at the Ryder Studio in Santa Fe, NM I have found myself completely drawn to the mystique of the human face. I still love landscapes and still life work, but there is a tremendous joy in working with a live model.

About Me
- Deborah Allison
- Painting since 1994, full time since 2000, I have studied in the US, France and England. Portraiture studies have been with Perrin Sparks of Texas and Anthony Ryder of Santa Fe, NM. I am now working with my mentor, Jennifer Welty of CA.

Hi Deborah,
We missed you guys at the party, but I am sure that we'll get some pictures up on the blog pretty soon so you can see all of the craziness. You'll keep posting things while you are away, right? I'll try to keep updating my blog as well, so that we can all see what the others are up to. A sort of virtual studio!
