Finally photographed all of the poster studies I did since February. Didn't realize it was so many! These are all 5" x 7" and done in oil.

Why I paint portraits
After studying with Tony Ryder at the Ryder Studio in Santa Fe, NM I have found myself completely drawn to the mystique of the human face. I still love landscapes and still life work, but there is a tremendous joy in working with a live model.

About Me
- Deborah Allison
- Painting since 1994, full time since 2000, I have studied in the US, France and England. Portraiture studies have been with Perrin Sparks of Texas and Anthony Ryder of Santa Fe, NM. I am now working with my mentor, Jennifer Welty of CA.

I love the simplicity and directness of your poster studies. With my knowledge of the models, and what was "going on" during each of those studies; I smile to think of some really great times.
Nice to reflect on the shadows of which art is created.
