Decided to try a self portrait....can't beat the price. Tried to keep smiling. Obviously couldn't do a 75 hour pose.

Why I paint portraits
After studying with Tony Ryder at the Ryder Studio in Santa Fe, NM I have found myself completely drawn to the mystique of the human face. I still love landscapes and still life work, but there is a tremendous joy in working with a live model.

About Me
- Deborah Allison
- Painting since 1994, full time since 2000, I have studied in the US, France and England. Portraiture studies have been with Perrin Sparks of Texas and Anthony Ryder of Santa Fe, NM. I am now working with my mentor, Jennifer Welty of CA.

75-hour smile...yikes. Great job on the portrait. Your personality comes across and you captured that smile beautifully.
Nice! Very playful self portrait. The painting must have been going well for you to be able to hold such a pleasant expression!
