Why I paint portraits
After studying with Tony Ryder at the Ryder Studio in Santa Fe, NM I have found myself completely drawn to the mystique of the human face. I still love landscapes and still life work, but there is a tremendous joy in working with a live model.

- Deborah Allison
- Painting since 1994, full time since 2000, I have studied in the US, France and England. Portraiture studies have been with Perrin Sparks of Texas and Anthony Ryder of Santa Fe, NM. I am now working with my mentor, Jennifer Welty of CA.

So is "rounding the edges" a little different on the tires of a piece of heavy machinery? Any plans for SF?

Wow! That is the most beautiful colored pencil drawing of a backhoe that I have ever seen! ;)
I'd say this is a bit eccentric, but if you were doing normal things how boring would that be!? Much more fun like this.
