Challenge Wash-in


"Wash - in" of painting. A full color work using oil paint thinned with solvent. A bit like a loose watercolor. Albert (left) will have different glasses, so they are not really detailed. Adam chose the background and clothing for the father/son painting.

Deborah, A double portrait sounds challenging. Excellent job so far and I appreciate that you are sharing the process. Interesting contrast between the somewhat disconnected positions and gazes of the 2 subjects and the shared color scheme and elevation in the picture frame, which tie them together. Before you start the poster study, do you rough out some thumbnails? What's your process for composition? TIA
